Alternative Dispute Resolution

There are several ways to resolve legal civil disputes and mortgage foreclosure actions. While litigation is most popular there are other, less time consuming, expensive, and strenuous methods of resolving disputes.  These methods are gaining in popularity. Two of these methods are:

Mediation

Negotiation

Before our clients leap into litigation Law Offices of David M. Schlachter counsels them on other methods which may bring the same results with less hassle. And even during the course of litigation our firm keeps these methods in mind as problem solvers. Contact us to learn more how these methods can get you your results for less cost, strain, and time.
Mediation

Mediation is a process whereby disputing parties plead their case in front of an objective mediator and the mediator aids the parties to come to a resolution.

Our office acts as Mediator and conducts mediation. We also represent our clients at mediation on their own cases, should they decide this route is best.

Remember, even if parties agree to go the mediation route, this does not preclude other dispute resolution methods, including litigation, should the matter not resolve at mediation.
Negotiation

Before and during litigation, during family matter disputes, and business discussions, negotiation plays an important role. Negotiation is the method of obtaining a fair settlement and is the give-and-take process of obtaining the results you want while giving up on issues that are more important to the other party.

In whatever circumstances our clients negotiate, Law Offices of David M. Schlachter are experienced and tough negotiators. Having negotiated hundreds of cases to successful resolution we use our experience and try to help each client acheive similar results.
